Joseph Philip "J.P." Landry, a native of Thibodaux and resident of St. Charles Community, was born on Nov. 23, 1928, and died Thursday, May 30, 2013.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. His body was donated to LSU Medical Center.He is survived by his son, Carrol Landry and wife, Judy; daughters, Dale L. Fussell and husband, Buddy, and Karen L. Robichaux and husband, David; grandchildren, Melanie L. Naquin, Shelly L. Arceneaux, Dirk P. Thibodaux, Chad P. Thibodaux, Raven L. Robichaux, Holly R. Knobloch and David P. Robichaux; and nine great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary T. Landry; parents, Philip and Leonise Landry; grandson, Sean M. Robichaux; and brothers, Ronald, Stuart and Calvin Landry, and Clifton and Leonie Thibodeaux.He was a Catholic and was retired from Cameco.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
