Joseph Lynn Moyer, 67MUNCIE - Joseph Lynn Moyer, 67, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. He was born on December 29, 1948 in Muncie, IN the son of Marion and Mildred (Beall) Moyer. He married Jody (Cooper) Moyer in 1968.Joe was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Muncie. He graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1966 where he enjoyed playing football and wrestling. He worked at Pepsi for several years and Allstate Insurance Company for over twenty-five years. He received the Agent of the Month award for market 7 at Allstate in 1991, 1996 and 1999. He was also the quality leader for Market 7 in 1989 and 1990. From 1986-2009 he was number one in the nation for customer retention. He was involved with the Jaycees and also held an auctioneers license. He was a hard worker and loved his family very much.Surviving relatives include his wife, Jody Moyer of Muncie, IN; one son, John Moyer (Angie) of Muncie, IN; one daughter, Heather Ruddick (Jeff) of Muncie, IN; one brother, Ted Moyer (Sandra) of New Castle, IN; one sister Joyce Sellers (Mike) of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren, Brady Terrell, Allison Ruddick, Melissa Alverez, Jeremy Ruddick and Joseph (Joey) Moyer all of Muncie, IN; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gene Moyer; one sister and brother-in-law, Kaye Valos (George).Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Rev. Will Grinstead will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN.
