Joseph M. Fuller, 53, of Dimock, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at his home. He was born on August 6, 1962 in Meshoppen, to Lucille (Manley) Fuller, and the late Clark B. Fuller.He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Danette (Smarkusky) Fuller; two sons, Clark W. Fuller and Jonas B. Fuller; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Belle and Sven Arne Lofving, Mary and James Cummons, Petrina and Mark Gregory, Lucille and Robert Winston; two brothers, Carl C. Fuller, James R. Fuller; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Lena Fuller. Joe grew up on the family farm, "Windy View Farm" in Dimock. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting alongside his sons, nephews and brothers-in-law. Joe was the first to receive a Bachelor's degree from Penn State in Wild Life Science and Biology. He also had a teaching certificate from the University of Scranton. He held several jobs as a salesman; he worked at Dimock Lumber and the Ford dealership in Montrose, before his position as a 4H educator. Joe was the 4 H educator in Wyoming and Susquehanna County; he taught tractor safety as well as shooting sports. He was a Camp Director for Camp Brule' for many years, was president of the Dimock Cemetery Assoc. for over 20 years, as well as a lifetime member of the Holy Name of Mary Church. When Joe was physically able, he was willing to help anyone.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Holy Name of Mary Church, with Rev. Philip Ryappan officiating. Interment will be in the Dimock Cemetery. Visitations will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home.Donations in Joe's memory can be made to the 4H fund at the Community Foundation, 270 Lake Ave., Montrose, PA 18801 that Joe had set up; or to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 210 Woods Rd., Palmerton, PA 18071.
