Joseph Madrid Sr., 94, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Ambrosio Guillen TX St. Veterans Home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 26, 1922 in Los Angeles, California and moved to El Paso where he grew up and attended Ysleta High School. Dad was a veteran of the US
Army and
World War II from 1942-1946. After serving in the military, he worked as a medic at William Beaumont Hospital. He later retired from US Customs. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alejandra C. Madrid. He is survived by his children, Joseph Jr. (Brenda), Emily (Oscar), Susan (George), Patty (Matt), and Philip. Grandchildren; Denise (Jonathan), Yvonne, Christy, Ricky, Rob (Jessie), Michael (Danielle), Steven, Marshall (Christi). Great Grandchildren: Alexis, Olivia, Addy, Violet, Chloe, Jazmin, Waylon, and Jackie. He is also survived by his sisters Marina and Bertha, brother, Robert. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 5:00-9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Crestview Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday 22, 2017 at 9:30am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
