Majeske, 82, of Fort Gratiot Twp., passed away on December 1, 2016 in McLaren Port Huron Hospital with his family by his side.He was born on March 24, 1934 in Detroit, son of the late Joseph and Edith Majeske.Joseph married Shirley A. Relken on November 27, 1954 in Port Huron.He served honorably in the
United States Navy. Joseph retired as a St. Clair County Sheriff Deputy and was a member of DAV, FOP and St. Mary's Catholic Church.Joseph is survived by his wife, Shirley Majeske of Fort Gratiot; son, Michael Majeske of Higgins Lake; daughter and son-in-law, Judith Ann (Jeffrey) Cornwell of Algonac; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph T. (Linda) Majeske of Kimball; daughter, Mary Majeske and her companion, David Makowski of Port Huron and son and daughter-in-law, John Majeske and Paula Peterson of Lakeport; seven grandchildren: Alex, Ryan, Emily, Hannah, Brittney, Bryson and Sutton; four great-grandchildren: Isabel, JayShan, Braylon, Chloe and Camron; sister, Donna Mae Ferland of Ohio and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Marie and Edith Theresa, who passed away at birth and a stepbrother, Father Edward Majeske.Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1505 Ballentine Street, Port Huron. The Rev. Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.Inurnment will be in Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium. The St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors.Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. @ 17th Street, Port Huron and Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the church.A Scripture Service will be held Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.Memorial tributes may be made to the Fraternal Order of Police.To view obituary and share memories visit
