Joseph "Joe" Patrick Burk, 54INDIANAPOLIS - Joseph "Joe" Patrick Burk, 54, of Indianapolis, died at home after a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side on November 23, 2016. He was born on July 31, 1962 to William E. and Pauline L. Burk of Springport, Indiana.He graduated with a Degree in Finance from Ball State University in 1986.Joe was a business and financial analyst and valued employee at Hewlett Packard for twenty-eight years.Joe enjoyed traveling, his fantasy football league, sports, he was an exceptional photographer, he was a proud father who enjoyed watching all his sons sports and musical activities. Joe also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his karate family.He was married to Julie Anne (Lehman) Burk of Louisville for eighteen years. He was a treasured and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many.Survivors include wife, Julie Anne Burk; mother, Pauline Burk Beall; three sons, Christian Alexander Donnelly (Alec), Brendan Michael Donnelly and Benjamin Patrick Burk; a sister, Janet (Burk) Barnett (Steve); a brother, James William Burk (Joyce); two nieces, Kathleen Burk, Meredith Carpenter (Dylan); three nephews, Jeffrey William Burk (Sarah), Robert Lehman, and Mitchell Lehman; mother-in-law, Dana Lee (Greg) Jennings of Huntsville, Alabama and brother-in-law, Phillip L. (Barbara) Lehman of Huntsville, Alabama; and many extended family and friends who were like family to him.He was preceded in death by his father, William E. Burk; step-father, Robert Beall.Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Springport Christian Church, 509 W.
