Joseph RichiusoSatellite BeachDeacon Joseph Richiuso, age 84, of Satellite Beach, FL passed away on May 12, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 28, 1933 in New York City, NY to the late Leonardo and Marianna Richiuso. Joe served his country honorably in the US Army. Joe was a faithful deacon of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community.Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Annabelle, children: MaryAnn Turner (Mark), Leonard Richiuso (Christine), Jeanette Widick (Mark), Andrea Tenbusch (Ken), Nancy Dwyer (Jeff), and Elizabeth Auckland (Todd). He is also survived by his sister and brother in law, Angela and Michael Scarcella, and his brother, Dominick Richiuso, 17 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Leonardo Richiuso, in 1969, and his mother, Marianna Richiuso, in 2001, and his sister in law, Louise Richiuso, in 2006.On January 7, 1995, on the Solemnity of Epiphany, after 5 years of faithful study, in a ceremony at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, he was ordained a Permanent Deacon in the Catholic Diocese of Orlando.Joe devoted his life to his Lord, his family, his work as an engineer and his service as an Ordained Deacon.A visitation will be held at Beach Funeral Home-East, Indian Harbor Beach on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with a vigil to begin at 7:00 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Indialantic, at 3050 N. Hwy A1A, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Joe will be laid to rest at 2:30 p.m. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with military honors.
