A life well lived

On July 30, 2024, the world lost a true hero with the passing of Josiah McDaniel. Born on February 5, 1960 in Washington City, Washington, D.C., Josiah was a beloved son of Stephen and Geraldine McDaniel.

In 1982, Josiah married the love of his life, Alana McDaniel, and together they shared a life filled with love and dedication. Although they did not have any children of their own, they found joy in helping others and supporting their community.

Josiah was a proud member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America organization, where he dedicated his time and efforts to assisting fellow veterans in need. His passion for outreach work and his commitment to serving others was truly inspiring to all who knew him.

Before his time with the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Josiah served with honor and distinction in the Marine Corps as a Warrant Officer 5. For 10 years, he fearlessly led his unit and demonstrated unwavering courage and dedication to his country.

Josiah's spirit will live on in the hearts of all those he touched, and his legacy as a true American hero will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace, knowing that his selfless service and unwavering dedication have made a lasting impact on the lives of so many.
