FRANKLIN - Josie Poulsen Lewis, 90, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, in Preston, Idaho, from causes incident to age. Josie was born on March 31, 1921, to Lawrence and LaRue Hugie Poulsen. She was raised in Lewiston, Utah, and spent most of her life in Franklin. She married Earl N. Lewis on June 15, 1939, and they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. She worked at Del Monte and Ritewood Eggs until her retirement.Mom was always a busy little lady. She was an immaculate housekeeper and enjoyed working in her yard. She loved quilting and made quilts for all of her grandchildren and her four great-granddaughters.Josie is survived by her daughters, Janet Kay (Wayne) Chambers of Riverdale, Utah, and Deborah (David) Phippen of Brigham City, Utah; brother, Kenneth Poulsen of Nampa, Idaho; sister, Carol (Vern) Hooker of Nampa, Idaho; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sons-in-law, Wayne Chambers and Craig Tidwell; and sister, Elaine Alder.Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, March 1, 2012, in the Franklin Stake Center, 106 E. Main St. in Franklin, Idaho, with Bishop David Woodward conducting. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston, Idaho, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the stake center in Franklin.
