Joy A. Morgan Joy A. Morgan of Akron, Ohio (Springfield Township) passed away on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 after a valiant battle with Stage 2 Breast Cancer that began in 2010. She heroically fought and overcame, but her unwavering battle resumed once again in early 2016 with Stage 4 Breast Cancer that spread to her bones. Her strong will to live, paired with the love and support of her children, family and friends gave her the strength to live on with us for seven more months until the battle ended suddenly. While Joy left us far too early at just 63 years of age, we couldn't be prouder or more thankful to have had her in our lives for this short period of time. She was a daughter, sister, and friend, but was best known as the greatest, most loving mother in the world. She will be greatly missed by many.Joy was born on January 16th 1953, and is preceded in death by her long time partner and fiancé, John Smith; and mother, Charlotte Morgan. She is survived by her two sons and best friends, Terry and Randy Cramer; her father, Robert Morgan; second mother, Betty Prindle; brothers, Norman (Jean) Morgan, Dennis (Monie) Morgan; sister, Linda Ridenour; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.Family, friends, and flowers are welcome at a celebratory memorial in honor of Joy's life on Saturday, November 12th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the "Kent American Legion Post" located at 1945 Mogadore Rd., Kent, Ohio 44240. Donations to the Hospice of Fairlawn are also welcome in lieu of flowers.
