Joyce Jones, 70, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, March 05, 2020 at the Rutherford Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness. She was born on January 6, 1950 and is the daughter of the late Joe Clark Frashier, and Demmie Kay Henson Frashier of Rutherfordton, North Carolina.

Joyce graduated from Chase High School in 1968. She married Clayton Jones in 1968, and they lived together in Rutherfordton. Joyce worked at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home until she retired in 2014. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 6 siblings.

Joyce is survived by 3 children: Cindy Shields (Terry), Crystal Laughter (Todd), and Brian Jones (Denise). She also is survived by 2 grandchildren and seven brothers and sisters and two brother-in-laws.

The family will recieve friends from 4 pm until 5 pm at the Holly Springs Baptist Church. The service will begin at 5 pm at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service in the Church Cemetery. The services have been entrusted to the Harrelson Funeral Home in Forest City, NC.
