Klaus, Joyce Teresa (De Cleene)Joyce Teresa (De Cleene) Klaus, 80, Green Bay, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. She passed quickly and easily into the loving arms of our savior, Jesus Christ. Joyce was born on June 1, 1936, in Green Bay to Jack and Viola (Binon) De Cleene. Joyce attended St. Joseph Academy until she met the love of her life H. Thomas (Tom) Klaus. They were married on November 7, 1953 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Allouez. Joyce spent the next 18 years of her life traveling with her husband as a Navy wife while raising their four children; Jean Marie, Robert Allen, Ann Marie, and Brian Thomas. Navy assignments took Tom and Joyce to San Diego, CA; Great Lakes, IL; Pearl Harbor, HI; and Norfolk, VA.Joyce was a member and past Regional President of the Fleet Reserve Association Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of Central Wisconsin Branch #238. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #11.Joyce was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and Tom enjoyed taking long trips across the country.Survivors include her husband Tom; four children and their spouses: Jean Marie (Charles) Thurber, Ottawa, ON Canada; Robert Klaus, Palm Beach, FL; Ann Marie Klaus and Troy Burmesch, Suamico, WI; Brian (Jennifer Appleby) Klaus, Green Bay; seven grandchildren: Thomas Senn II, Erik Maxwell Senn, Kristina (Kevin) Harig, Sarah (Josh) Clark, Robert Klaus II, Joshua (Ruthanne) Peterson, Amanda (Anthony) Czarnecki; a step-granddaughter, Mishawn (Jessy) Gudipati, three great-grandsons, and five great-granddaughters. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother; Audrey (Wally) Latus, Louis De Cleene, and Patricia (Jerry) Ziefle; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Viola De Cleene; her brother, Eben De Cleene; sisters, Nona (Ron) Fisher and Joan Nichols; and sister-in-law, Betty De Cleene.Friends may call Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 12. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, March 13.
