Juan Adam Montoya, 76, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away peacefully at his home April 5th, 2018, following a long and aggressive form of bone cancer.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anita Montoya, Daughter Brittany Montoya, Son Adam Montoya, Brothers Joe Montoya, and Nicholas Montoya.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Montoya, of the family home; 1 Daughter Brittany Montoya of Tampa, FL.; 1 Son Adam Montoya of Tampa, FL. Brothers Joe and Nicolas Montoya of Las Vegas, NM.
He was born in El Porvenir, N.M., on May 5th, 1955. On Oct. 1, 2000, he married Anita Sandavol-Montoya, He worked for the Pepsi Cola Company, Highlands University, the Las Vegas Medical Center, as a ranch hand and self-employed, doing odd jobs. His hobby was recycling aluminum cans. He enjoyed dealing with antiques.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, April 7th at Our Lady of Sorrows Church by Father Rob Yaksich.
The interment was to follow the mass. It was held at the San Jose Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers: Adam and Joe Montoya, Juan Valdez, Mario Pacheco, Daniel Sanchez, Glen Maestas, and Martin Sanchez Jr.
