A Life Well Lived

Juan was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on May 30, 2019. He was born July 23, 1940, in Long Beach, California to the late Jonathan and Margaret Vargas. He was a warm and loving man and helped everyone he could in life. He was generous, wholesome, considerate, and kind. He loved to dance, especially to country and western music, as well as he enjoyed farming for a long time in life. He enriched his children with the knowledge of farming and self-sufficiency. He had cattle, pigs, chickens, horses, and more. Juan was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Lynn Vargas, and son, Michael Paul Vargas. He was raised with six other children, including a twin sister, Mary (Vargas) Ulrich. He was a triplet at birth, but his brother passed during childbirth. His siblings all preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Allen (Debbie) Clavet, Georgia (Craig) Notebaert, Sandy (Jim) Mulvey, Sherry (Paul) Tomlinson, Albert Trickey, and Mary Trickey; grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) Trickey, Catina (Allen) Quinn, Mitchel Tomlinson, Sally Tomlinson, and Anna Christina Davila; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; his sweetheart and best friend Mary Rambert; best friend David McWatters; and best friend from childhood Ricardo Dishner. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 5 from 4-8: 00 PM and Thursday, June 6 from 12-2: 00 PM at Palmer Mortuary and Cremations, 1116 N Austin St, Seguin, Texas, where a funeral service will be held Thursday, June 6 at 2:00 PM with Majors Sherrie and Keith Welch officiating. Juan will be laid to rest in North Long Beach, California at a later date.

To the Family. I am sorry for your loss and hope this scripture bring some comfort at this time. Revelation 21:4- And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes,+ and death will be no more,+neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.+ The former things have passed away.”
