Jude Castaneda, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend and member of the Gilroy/San Jose community, passed away on September 29, 2024, at the age of 55. Born on July 10, 1969.

A bit of background about Jude, His existence began In Canoga Park, Los Angeles, CA. His family and him moved to San Jose, CA when he was 4 years old. He grew up there and was well known in sports especially wrestling around the town from schools he had attended to. He graduated from high school CSDF (California School for the Deaf, Fremont) in 1989- he broke records for football and wrestling. Jude joined his first Deaflympics Wrestling Greco-Roman game resulted as bronze medal in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1989. Jude was a father of 4 children and married to his former sweetheart. His athleticism ran in the family. He loved his children more than anything in the world. He was a Castaneda proud that he always mentioned about his family to his children. He was sweet, funny, hard-worker and athletic which his family admired him the most.

Jude was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering nature. He beyond enjoyed the fun and competition of tossing the two-pound horseshoes at stakes. He will be remembered for his passion in sports, his love for others, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Jude's presence brought joy and light to those around him, and his memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of athleticism that will continue to inspire those who knew him. The faithful in Christ Jesus was valued to him. He is with his father Tata, mother Nana and brother Benny in the heaven. May Jude be with God and in the great memories of the milestones.
