It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith Ward on September 11, 2023. Born on April 21, 1944, in Sumerduck, Virginia, Judith was the beloved daughter of Henry and Patti Sue Ward.

In 1966, Judith tied the knot with her loving spouse, Jordan Lilacs, and together they built a beautiful life. Their union was blessed with five wonderful children who brought endless joy to their home. Their names are Judy Ward, Jenny Lynn, Jamison Ward, Clarence Ward, and Jennifer Boberly.

A highly dedicated and compassionate woman, Judith was a pillar of strength in her community. She dedicated herself to making a difference in the lives of others through her various roles. She served as a librarian, spreading the love of books and knowledge to all. Additionally, she actively contributed to animal rescue efforts, always going above and beyond to provide care and shelter to those in need. Not only that, but she also pursued social work and teaching, working tirelessly to support and uplift those who required assistance.

Judith's impact extended far beyond her professional endeavors. To her friends, family, and all who knew her, she was a beacon of kindness and a source of unwavering support. Her warm smile, compassionate heart, and sage advice will forever be remembered and cherished.

Throughout her life, Judith was blessed with the joy of eight grandchildren who brought an extra sparkle to her eyes. They were a constant source of delight and inspiration for her.
