This obituary is administered by:
Judith Ann Turner RACINE Judith Ann Turner, 76, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at home. Judith was born on February 2, 1938 to Norman Hahn and Hazel (nee: Nelson) Hahn. Judy loved sports and was a diehard Packer fan. When the Packers were on TV, Judy had the station on, total involvement, complaining when a call she figured was bad, or yelling at a player who blew his coverage. Along with watching professional level games, she enjoyed playing. When younger, Judy played second base on a ladies softball team. When camping at one of our favorite campgrounds, Plymouth Rock, she played on the pickup teams, and usually tried to pay either second or the middle position. Later it was bowling, where she bowled in several leagues. She threw the neatest little back up ball, and it worked. Later still, it was golf. She started out playing on Sundays with her uncle and aunt, usually at Johnson Park. From there, she graduated to Shoop Park and then to Washington Park. She joined the Washington Park Womens Gold Club and eventually became golf chairman. To her, it was a fun job and she developed many lady friends and became close with Donna Hansen and Rose Daher. Last but not least, Judy loved to travel. She and her husband, Bob, visited most of the good old USA, east, west, north, and south. Having a brother who lived near Las Vegas, and a sister who lived in Pleasanton, California also made it handy. After living with and fighting cancer since it was discovered in December of 2011, Judy leaves behind; her husband, Robert, son, Robert Jr. (Cathy) Turner, daughter, Rachel (Jim) Walton, brothers; Norman Hahn and Tom (Judy) Hahn, grandsons; Joshua and Zachary, brother-in-law, Jess (Gladys) Turner, nieces; Barbara (Randy) Brown, Terry (Ray) Smith, Donna (John) Buljubasic, Tim Turner, Kathy Briggs, Beverly (Richard) Sadowski, Lana Stanton, Nephews; Pete (Sue) Turner, Tom Turner, Scott Turner, Roger Hahn, Dale (Pam) Schmidt, Ted Schmidt, Theo Turner, Uncle Roger Nelson, Several cousins, neighbors and friends; Sharon, Sheri and Teron Nicikowski, Tammy Haas, Judy Masko, Don Somner, Jerry and Janet, Dennis and Carol, Harold and Joanne, Pat and Dick, Dorothy, Will and Leona Hagen and family, Pete and Rita Cepukenas, Mike and Ann, Niels and Mary Ann, Rolf and Karen, Judy, Barb and Rich, our beloved Friday night group, Joe and Denise, Ron and Rhonda, Laurie Powell, Sherri Christensen, Greg and Scott, and all of the members of the Washington Park Womens Gold Club.
