Zurek, Judith Ann "Judy" Judith "Judy" Ann Zurek, age 81, of Phoenix, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on June 26, 1935 to the late David and Gladys (Howe) Altergott in Maywood, Illinois. On February 27, 1965 she married Clarence Zurek in Detroit, Michigan. Judy was a Buyer with the Greyhound Post Houses. She served as an Ombudsman for the State of Arizona (long term care), and also volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul St. Joseph Conference for many years. In addition, Judy also volunteered with AARP to do income taxes for low income families, and was involved with numerous other church activities. She enjoyed gardening and painting. Judy is survived by her loving spouse of 51 years, Clarence; a sister, Linda (Jerry) Schwanebeck; two sister-in-law's, Irene Hagan and Kathy Zurek; and many other loving family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 10, 2017, at The Beatitudes Life Center, 1610 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021.
