Judith Lee "Bohn" AschenbrennerJudith Lee "Judy" (nee: Bohn) Aschenbrenner, 77, of Racine, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at Wheaton Franciscan Franklin.She was born on April 7, 1937, to the late Joseph E. and Edith E. (Fritchen) Bohn in Racine. She was educated in the schools of Racine and graduated from Horlick High School. In 1959 she married Ronald Aschenbrenner at Holy Name Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1993.Judy worked at Jacobsen's Manufacturing as the head of production for 40 years, retiring in 2000. She co-owned Asch's Place with Darrell, her brother and best friend for over 30 years.Judy loved trips to casinos, bowling, and playing cribbage. She cherished spending time with her family, especially Sunday afternoons with her great grand daughter Sydney. Judy was a kind-hearted woman who loved life.Judy is survived by her loving daughter Joella (Ron) Coutts of Racine; her son Donald Aschenbrenner of Bradenton, Fla.; her brothers James (Lavora) Bohn of Racine, Darrell (Mary) Bohn of Racine, Joseph (Jane) Bohn Jr. of Arizona, Walter (Diana) Bohn of Racine; her granddaughter Jessica (Geno) Sems and their children Sydney and Liam, her grandson Cody Aschenbrenner and her granddaughter Ashley Aschenbrenner. She is also survived by her good friends Sandy Bohn and Janice Bergstrom along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.A Mass of Christian Burial for Judy will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Rita's Catholic Church (4339 Douglas Ave.) with visitation starting at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Pilgrim's Home Cemetery in Raymond. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home.
