KRALL, Judith Marlene It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the beautiful, amazing Judith Marlene Krall (Constable) nee Lax on December 21st 2016. Judy was born on December 15th 1943 in West Vancouver. She grew up in Horseshoe Bay and moved to Vancouver Island in the late 60's. Here she and her late husband Chuck raised their three children. Judy went on to work for School District #68 as a librarian clerk, school secretary, and then on to secretary of the super-intendant. Judy continued to further her career as the director of Human Resources with the City of Nanaimo from 1986 until her retirement in 2002. Judy and Tom found each other, married and spent many happy years thoroughly enjoying life together. They spent winters with their dear friends in Yuma and summers golfing and spending time with family. Judy passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving husband and children after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She will always be in our hearts and remembered fondly as a beautiful mother, loving wife, caring sister, devoted Gram Gram and friend. She is pre-deceased by husband Chuck Constable, sister "Snorky" Sapera, brother Ronnie Lax, and son-in-law Wayne Peace. Judy is survived by her loving husband Tom and sisters 'Lukey' and Theresa, children Greg (Troy-Anne), Tanya (Blair) and Cheryl (Cory), and grandchildren Savanna (Patrick), Chelsea (Brad), Charles, Clayton, and Carter and her extended loving family Trisha (Steve), Tom (Michelle), Tyson (Janice), and grand-children Owen, Dylan, Derrick, and Matthew. A Celebration of Judy's life will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, December 27th at The Vancouver Island Conference Center on Commercial Street, Nanaimo. Special thanks to the beautiful angels of the palliative care unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Nanaimo Hospice Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
