Judith Lynn Chancellor EllisBartlettJudy was known for her sharp wit, humor and keen insight. She passed away in her sleep on Saturday, July 22, 2017. She was born on September 4, 1941 in Dexter, MO. She was a dedicated mother, wife, and friend of many. She was a long time member of the Memphis African Violet Society where she held many offices. She was an accomplished Senior Judge of African Violets and always strived to teach others how to cultivate their plants. She attended the Baptist School of Nursing and was a registered nurse.She was a longtime resident of Bartlett, TN for forty-five years. She and her husband, Aubrey, recently celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary.She was preceded in death by parents, Anna Margaret Boatwright and Max Chancellor and son, Aubrey Christopher Ellis. Judy is survived by her husband, Aubrey Lynn Ellis; daughter, Kimberly Lynn Crews and son-in-law, Charles Edward Crews, Sr., of Franklin, TN; grandson, Charles "Charlie" Edward Crews, Jr.; and many loving friends and family.Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Memphis, TN from 5-7 p.m., on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Family and friends are invited to gather at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home, Dexter, MO at 10 a.m. before proceeding to graveside services in Dexter Cemetery at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the of West Tennessee, 857 Mt.
