Judy DunlapHaskell, TXJudy, 77, passed peacefully at home February, 1, 2017, of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Willow Cemetery, Haskell, TX., with Rev. Terry Bunch officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 7:00PM, Friday, February 3, 2017 at Smith Family Funeral Homes, 304 N 2nd St, Haskell, TX. Judith Earlene Tipton was born on February 8, 1940, to Earl and Charlotte Tipton of Davenport, OK. Youngest of 6 siblings, she often told fond stories of growing up as the baby of the family. She married first husband, Jack Becker in 1959, with whom she had 3 beautiful children in Pampa, TX. Jack preceded her in death in July of 1975. Judy was blessed with a second love after meeting James Dunlap. They married in February of 1979, and resided in Haskell. They shared a love of western movies, antique cars, and tinkering out in the yard. Judy could often be found baking, sewing, working at Castagna & Gregg, and watching Disney movies with her grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Charlotte Tipton; sister Betty Jean Waldroup; grandson Jordon Day Wheatley; and granddaughter Heather Nicole BeckerSurvived by her loving husband James Dunlap; sons Wendell Becker and wife Stephanie of Sweeney, TX; Wayne Becker and wife Debbie of Brazoria, TX; and Craig Dunlap of Memphis, TX; daughter Jacklyn Wheatley and husband Lynn of Haskell, TX; brothers Jim Tipton and wife Linda of Davenport, OK, John Tipton and wife Kay of Davenport, OK, Jerry Tipton and wife Mary Ann of Edmond, OK; and sister Janice Jackson and husband Herb of Davenport, OK; and sister-in-law Shirley Dunlap of Haskell, TX. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.The family would like to thank everyone who prayed, brought food, visited and comforted them during what has been an impossible time.
