Juergen "Jerry" Dippi1936 - 2016Juergen "Jerry" Dippi, 80 of Boise, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in a local hospital. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 8, from 4-8 p.m. at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 9, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 811 S. Latah, Boise, with a funeral lunch at 11:45 a.m. at Whitney Methodist Church, 3309 W. Overland Rd, Boise. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., at Kuna Cemetery, 1321 W. Boise St., Kuna.Jerry was born on February 24, 1936 in Hanover, Germany to Gunther Dippi and Cacilia (Rettich) Dippi. He attended school in Germany which was interrupted by WWII. After the war he came to Toronto, Canada, then to Pasadena, CA, where he joined the United States Air Force. While stationed in Mt. Home, ID he met his future wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Steele. They were married on September 26, 1959 in Boise. He ended his career in the Air Force in 1962. Jerry was employed in various trades until he went through Sheet Metal Apprenticeship training and graduated to Journeyman. He worked for Marcum Sheet Metal and finally with Hobson Fabricating. His hobbies included woodworking, yard beautification, remodeling, and collecting John Deere memorabilia. He took special interest in Sacred Heart Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Union for 50 + years, and the Sacred Heart St. Vincent de Paul Chapter, as well as serving in the Eucharistic Ministry.Survivors include: Spouse, Elizabeth (Betty) Dippi (Steele); Daugther, Melisa G. Pearson and husband Kip; Son, Kurt A. Dippi and wife Audrey; Daughter, Erika L. Dippi; Grandchildren: Tera J. Moore, Alexandra M. Dippi, Jordynn E.
