LIGONIER — Julia Aileen Dobrunst, age 83, of Ligonier passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla, Indiana. She was born on October 2, 1931, to Richard and Lulu (Conrad) Rex in Noble County, Indiana. On September 7, 1958, she married Irwin Dobrunst and he preceded her in death in September of 2008. She is survived by two daughters, Shari Ritchison of Shelbyville, Indiana, and Jeri Edsall of Wolf Lake, Indiana; four grandchildren, Chad Edsall, Tara Edsall, Madison Ritchison and Jared Ritchison; one sister, Janice Mansfield of Angola; and a son-in-law, Brian Edsall. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and a son-in-law, Tod Ritchison. Julia was a faithful member of Ligonier Church of the Nazarene for many years. She graduated from Ligonier High School in 1949 and later attended IBM School in Chicago where she met her husband, Irwin. Julia worked for Sorg Products in Ligonier for 18 years. She also worked for Superior Sample and retired from Lake City Bank. A funeral service will be held in Julia's honor on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at noon at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier. The Rev. John Lutton will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier, Indiana. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service at the funeral home.
