Julia J. Jorgensen RACINE – Julia J. (nee: Herceg) Jorgensen, 90, passed away at Elizabeth Residence on Saturday, February 15, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on September 5, 1923, the daughter of the late James and Julia (nee: Csendes) Herceg, Sr. Julia was a 1941 graduate of Park High School. On August 14, 1948 she was united in marriage to Earl J. Jorgensen. Julia was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She retired from J.I. Case Company in 1980. Julia enjoyed bowling, dart ball and trips to the casino. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Linda (David) Olk, grandsons, Ryan (Christina Schmidt) Olk and Jeremy Olk all of Racine and special God daughter, Cheryl (Leo) Brown. She is further survived by nieces, other relatives and friends. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Earl on April 13, 1994, son, Wayne B. Jorgensen, sister, Irene (David) Weitzel, infant brother, James; brother, James (Helen) Herceg, Jr. and brother-in-law, Thorvald (Mary) Jorgensen. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva St. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Julia will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation at the church on Wednesday, before services from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
