Julian Jesus Criado Lozano was a proud and devoted husband,
father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend. On December 28th, 2020 at the
age of 54, Julian earned his wings, and was called into heaven where he now
rests in peace.
Julian was born to Joseph and Ramona Lozano on November
23rd, 1966 in San Jose, California. He spent his childhood, and adolescent
years raised in Mendota, California surrounded by family and friends. Following
his graduation from Tranquility High School in 1985, Julian enrolled in the military
serving in the United States Army for 16 years earning the honorable rank of
Staff Sergeant. During his time in the military, he was deployed and bravely
combated in Operation \"Just Cause\" in Panama in 1990. Between the years of 1986 to 1988, Julian
became the proud father to two children: Julian Andrew Lozano and Erika
Michelle Lozano.
Following his retirement from the Military, Julian embedded
himself within the educational field. He
earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in August of 2017 and
continued on to earn a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in October of
2018 from the University of Phoenix in Fresno, California. He had ambitions to pursue a second Master’s
Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Government Management. He
was passionate about education and inspired others to discover their own
success with his final vocation as the Campus Dean of Devry University in
Fresno, California from 2017 until his passing.
Between the years of 2006 to 2011, Julian became the proud
father once more to two beautiful boys: Matthew William Lozano and Cole Lozano.
More than anything, Julian loved being a father and he adored his children. He
enjoyed teaching, inspiring, coaching, and leading the way for his family. Often you would find him on the baseball
field coaching his two younger boys Matthew and Cole, and teaching them all
there was to learn about the game. His heart was on the field with his boys and
his presence was always known amongst the players and families.
Some of his pastimes included rooting for the Raiders, and
the Giants; he loved to watch the games enjoying a bowl of sweet cereal! While raising his son Julian and daughter
Erika, he enjoyed days at the beach, indoor hide-n-seek and being silly with
his kids at the park. He enjoyed hosting spontaneous BBQs for his family,
taking road trips, but one of his most favorite things to do was to visit his mom
and dad to enjoy his chorizo, eggs, and sweet pan dulce.
Our beloved Julian will be greatly missed, but he will remain
in our hearts forever; until we meet again.
He is survived by his wife, Basilisa Lozano of Fowler; sons,
Julian Andrew Lozano of Fresno, Matthew William Lozano of Fowler, Cole Lozano
of Fowler; daughter Erika Michelle Rubio of Clovis; parents, Joe and Ramona
Lozano of Fowler; brothers Joe and Frankie Lozano of Fresno; sister Monalisa
Valle of Fowler; and three grandchildren; Emilia Lozano, Liam and Olivia Rubio.

the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.”–
