With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jullian Arrington, a beloved member of the Altavista community. Jullian, 17, departed from this world on June 24, 2020, leaving cherished memories and a lasting impact on all who knew him. From a young age, Jullian's compassionate spirit and infectious laughter touched the hearts of those around him. He will be remembered for his kind nature, love for music and sports, and unwavering optimism in the face of challenges. Jullian's light may have dimmed too soon, but his legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jullian was born in Lynchburg VA on May 16, 2003, to the parents of Quinthnie Martin and Galen Jackson. He attended elementary and middle school in Altavista VA where he played basketball. He was currently a high school student at Pickerington Central/Eastland- Fairfield Carrer Center where he was in the pre-engineering program. He was a member of Columbus Christian Center where he was an active member of the youth program U-Turn. He was currently working his first job at Raising Cane's after school. When he wasn't at or working, he was up all night playing video games. He loved playing basketball and hanging out with friends. He had a smile that would light up a room and he was a stranger to no one. He was the biggest kid at heart and loved spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother and father, Quinthnie "Poohlooh" Martin and Galen Jackson; two sisters Chardae Callands and Julliana Martin; his maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts; uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, June 28th at 220 Breezewood Dr. Lynchburg, VA 24502. The church service will be at Tree Of Life Ministries at 2812 Greenview Dr. Lynchburg, VA 24502 on Monday, June 29th at 1 PM. The interment will be at Presbyterian Cemetery.
