June D. Hartford, 90, of Goffstown, died Saturday, November 5th, 2016. She was born on June 13, 1926 in Providence, RI. She was the devoted wife of Allen Hartford, Sr., who she married on October 3, 1975. June and Allen lived in Andover, MA for many years before retiring in Goffstown nearly 20 years ago.June grew up in Rhode Island, graduating from the Pawtucket school system and going on to work the switchboards at New York Lace in Pawtucket for 28 years. She later worked with her husband as appraisers of machinery and equipment for 15 years, enjoying the opportunity to travel for business.June had a sincere love for life. Reading, writing, collecting books, and being with children, babies and dogs all brought a smile to her face. She loved Old Hollywood movies and showbiz trivia. Some of her favorite times in life were the traveling she did with her husband all around the country, and especially visiting their favorite place, Las Vegas. Above all, she loved being a wife and step-mother, and caring for her family, including her dog, Coco. She collected all of her favorite memories with the people she loved in the journals and scrapbooks she enjoyed working on every day. She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Allen Hartford Sr., her five step-children, step-daughter Debbie McNutt and her husband, Tom, of Dunbarton, NH; step-daughter Cathy Dube and her husband, Paul, of Methuen, MA; step-son Allen Hartford Jr. and his wife, Anne, of Methuen, MA; step-daughter Wendy Rabideau and her husband Matt of Penacook, NH; and step-son Glen Hartford and his wife Annie of North Andover, MA. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who adored her. June (aka "June Bug", "Grandma" and "Junie") will be deeply missed by all who have ever had the pleasure of knowing her. The family would like to thank Hillsborough County Nursing Home. The nursing staff and ancillary staff of Unit B2 gave the most compassionate care to not only June, but also her family.Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
