Nabielski, June L.June L. Nabielski, 89, Green Bay, died Monday, May 8, 2017. She was born on June 26, 1927 in Green Bay to Anton and Olga (Hendrickson) Hettich.June grew up on the family farm and attended school in Denmark, WI. Her most embarrassing moment was when dad picked her up at school during a raging snow storm in a horse drawn sled.June never experienced running water until marrying Harry Nabielski. She and Harry were married June 30, 1945, in Denmark.June was proud to be from Denmark and loved everything and anything Danish; Danish pastry, Danish Kringle, and Aebleskiver being some of her favorites.She was a hard worker, employed at Pet Milk in Denmark, Main Street Krolls in the early days, Kimberly Clark in Neenah, and Fort Howard Paper Company. June retired from the Accounting Department of Fort Howard after 25 years of service.Upon retirement, she travelled to Alaska, Nevada, Tennessee, Florida, New England, and Europe. Many of these trips included her dearest friends, Doris Jensen and Lee Knudson. She enjoyed her many friends and getting together for lunch was a great way of "catching up".June was a Salvation Army volunteer and was very active at her church, Resurrection Lutheran - serving on the church council.She loved her family and was especially proud of her two granddaughters, Ryah and Risa.June is survived by her two sons, and their spouses: Michael and Kathe Nabielski, Ashland, OR; Gary and Kathy Nabielski, De Pere; grandchildren: Ryah (Rob), Denver, CO; Risa (Jorge), Portland, OR; great-granddaughter, Rory; nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her parents; and a brother, Lorn Hettich.Friends may call at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1024 Shawano Ave., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Ed Baseman officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
