Junior Tackett, Sr., 90, of Ashland, husband of Sarah Slone Tackett, died peacefully Thursday evening, January 21st, in Community Hospice Care Center with his family at his bedside. juinor was born January 21, 1931 in Floyd County, Kentucky a son of the late John and Lucrecia Newsome Tackett. He was retired from the Shipping department of AK Steel and was of the Regular Baptist faith. He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a son, Greg Tackett. Surviving in addition to his wife include a son; Ola Tackett, Jr., a daughter; Deborah Tackett, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Services will be held in private for family only.
