Kaelyn Rae “Xero” Cranfield, 18, of Culpeper, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 11, 2024 at her home. She was born April 19, 2005 in Syracuse, NY to David Matthew and Jessica Lynn Cranfield.
Kaelyn had the purest heart. She faced many challenges due to her battle with epilepsy, yet walked through life with the most positive attitude.
Kaelyn was a 2023 graduate of Eastern View High School. She was excited about starting college to pursue her dreams of being an Abnormal Psychologist and studying the brain. Kaelyn was very creative and loved anime and expressing herself through fashion.
Kaelyn enjoyed spending time with her sisters and her best friends, Keirah, Autumn and Ghost. She loved going to concerts, building miniature models and playing video games. Kaelyn was an incredibly loving soul, she shared her heart with everyone she came into contact with.
Kaelyn was preceded in death by her uncle, James Barrett.
In addition to her parents, Kaelyn is survived by her maternal grandparents, George, III and Cecelia Barrett; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Mary Cranfield; three siblings, Dominique Cranfield (Nathan Carlson), Arianna Cranfield, and Lia Cranfield; uncles, George Barrett, IV (Jackie) and Jon Barrett (Amanda); aunts, Kelly Cranfield (Anthony Manfre) and Jonna Desantis; cousins, Abby Barnell (Noah), Makaila Barrett (Dan Stapleton) and Collin Barrett as well as an abundance of extended family members and friends.
Calling hours will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Fairview Cemetery.
