Karen Denise Clarke, 65, passed on August 20, 2021. She was born to James jonyer and Margaret Joyner in Bronx, New York on July 25, 1956. Born too parents of four siblings, Deborah Joyner,Anthony Joyner,Barry Joyner and Marguerite Bonet Haskins. Karen Denise Clark was born in the Bronx New York.Karen was the second of five children born to mother Margaret upshaw,she received her formal education in New York City public schools system. Her life values were established early in life by her parents James Joyner from Norfolk Virginia and mother Margaret upshaw of Caroline county Virginia. They were raised in a highly involved Pentecostal Church.The family's belief in God Almighty allow her to persevere to sustain herself as number of years as a single mother on her own raising her son who was in special needs. Karen took care of her son for 31 years relentlessly, until she was stricken with unfortunate events in the form of cancer. Karen Clark was a soldier to the end and made every room bright and everyone smile,she was known for mostly telling everyone she loves them. Because Karen loved everybody every room was brightened when she walked in. Karen will be survived by two siblings her older sister Bonita Bonet Haskins and her younger brother Anthony Joyner as well as her son Casey Clark. Karen also has a host of family members from Virginia to New York nephews aunts and nieces and cousins most notably Sharon,Darlene and Jermaine. She is also survived by her nephews and Grand nephews lemont,Devin,James ,Jonathan, ,Xavier,alade,and many grand newphews. She will be missed truly and sincerely she spent 36 years in service with NYU for joint and disease with her co-workers Joy,Natalie, and Anna,Carrie-ann and a host of others too many to mention. Karen was known for praying and singing and telling jokes like cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs her favorite line she will be missed and will be celebrated every day through her family and friends.We LOVE you Karen Always
Karen graduated from William Howard Taft in 1971 and received a degree from the Monroe in 1985.
Karen worked at NYU hospital for joints until she retired in 2018 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. In 2018, Karen was honored with the 36years of service.
