Karen Koonce, beloved sister, mother, and daughter passed away on May 26, 2023, at the age of 53 years old, in her home in Texas City, Texas, United States.

Born on May 20, 1970, Karen grew up in North Carolina, but moved to texas where later she raised her son Kenneth koonce

Karen was a kind and generous person who loved to laugh and have fun and was often the life of the party. She also loved to go to progressive baptist church on Sundays to watch her son sing in the choir.

Karen had a love for fashion and spending time with her close friends who later became family.

Karen will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and Son, but her memory will live on through the lives she touched. She is a survivor, Karen would not allow her illness to hold her back from enjoying life. Karen leaves behind her two brothers Rogers Martin Jr., and Kenneth Koonce, her baby sister Rogetta Martin, her loving mother Judy koonce, Her son Kenneth Koonce, six nieces and nephews, and three great nieces and nephews, and numerous family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on June 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Progressive Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the family personally.
