Karen K. (Burling) StaffordBELLVILLE: Karen K. (Burling) Stafford, 72, of Bellville, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, following a lengthy illness.Karen was born on April 21, 1944 in Lima, OH, the daughter of Russell C. and Mary A. (Coon) Burling. Karen loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She was an animal lover, and had a special love for her horses, dogs and cats. She enjoyed Sunday dinners at her mother-in-law's home, shopping at Walmart, dining out, especially at Red Lobster, watching movies, and gardening. She married her sweetheart, Michael Stafford, on June 30, 1995, and he survives.Along with her husband Michael, she is survived by eight children, Joe Valerio Jr of Lakeland, FL, Robert (Barb) Valerio of Melbourne, FL, Andrea Walker, Alicia McCabe, Kathryn Stafford, and Mary Stafford, all of Mansfield, Benjamin Stafford of Batesburg, SC, and Betsy Bragg of Aiken, SC; twelve grandchildren, Christina Ruffing, Kayla Barrett, Courtney Koby, Kimalee Walker, Anthony S. Walker, Bretton McCabe, Ben Stafford, Colton Stafford, Katie Bragg, Jacob Bragg, Nathan Bragg, and Macy McClellan; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Gregory Burling of Mansfield; mother-in-law, Kathryn Stafford of Mansfield; special daughter-in-law and spouse, Melody (Chad) Harness; one sister-in-law, Melanie Lester; three brothers-in-law, Bryon (Pam) Stafford, Gregory (Angela) Stafford, and Matthew (Shelly) Stafford; and numerous nieces and nephews.Karen was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law, Cliff Stafford; and her grandson, Liam Stafford.The family expresses their sincere thanks and appreciation for the nursing staff and aides at Bennington Glen for their excellent care of Karen and their friendship to both Karen and Michael.Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield.
