Karen Holley, 75, of Ennis, Texas, passed on June 03, 2023. Karen was born on September 08, 1947.
Karen was born and raised in Ennis, TX. She went to palmer high school and played girls basketball for a short time. Later on in the years, Karen worked at Price Industrial and then for Tyler Refridgeration for 20 years to which during that time she met her amazing husband, Ray Holley. Karen was at first hesitant to date him because he was "an ex-preacher' and "didn't know how to dance". It was four years later after marriage when she whole-heartedly dedicated her life to the Lord.
Karen enjoyed serving the Lord and people. She was a people person and loved being around friends and family all the time. She didn't like a quiet house, especially around holidays. Karen had a special place in her heart for her in-laws from her previous marriage. She always said that they would always be her family.
Karen was selfless at heart. She was kind, compassionate, caring and loving and she was so devoted to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A few things Karen will be most remembered for are her faith in God, her love for everyone around her and her laugh.
Karen is preceded in death by her father, Donald Raymond Thompson; mother, Mildred Posey Thompson; and sister, Ann Kinkead.
Karen is survived by her husband, Ray Holley of 31 years; daughter, Angela Spencer; step-children, Brian Holley, Steven Holley, and Angela Holley; granddaughter, Kierah Spencer; brother, Donald Albert Thompson; and many numerous friends, family and extended family.
