Karey Authement Karey Authement, 42, of Baton Rouge, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Services will be held Wednesday, at Istrouma Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, La. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with a memorial service immediately following visitation. Services will also be held Thursday, at First Baptist Church in Houma, La. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following visitation. He is survived by his wife, Linda; parents, Delores and Willard Authement of Chauvin, La.; in-laws, Lynn and Barbara Clark of Baker, La.; one son, Christopher; three daughters, Emma, Sara and Allie; two brothers, Stacy (Donna) of Houma, La. and Jarred (Amy) of Keller, Texas; one sister, Christine (William) of Houma, La.; two nephews, Daniel and Matthew and two nieces Kylie and Kinsley. Karey was born on Dec. 5, 1970 in Houma, La. to Willard and Delores Authement. He graduated from South Terrebonne High School in 1988 and later attended Nicholls State University and Louisiana State University, graduating from LSU with a degree in accounting. Since 1997, he owned and operated Computer Wizards, specializing in repairing computers all over Louisiana, and in 2010 started KWATT Electric with his friend, Bobby Watson. Karey was a very faithful man, a devoted father, a loving husband, and was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Karey was always ready with a joke and had an infectious laugh. He brought smiles and laughter to so many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
