Karin Louise Erdman Karin Louise Erdman (O'Neil) died peacefully surrounded by her loving families in Everett, WA on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the age of 61. Karin was born on May 28, 1956 in Olympia WA to Janet and Roy O'Neil. She graduated from Timberline High School in 1974. She married Gordon Erdman, a Marysville-Pilchuck High School Special Education and Social Studies teacher, in 1983. After moving to Marysville, WA, Karin continued her professional career in the retail grocery business becoming well known for her skills in specialized cake decorating. She worked for Albertsons for 20 years followed by work at Safeway, QFC, and Haggen Brothers. She had recently retired. Karin especially enjoyed designing and tending to her gardens and seasonally decorating her home for family gatherings. Having grown up living on Hicks Lake in Lacey, WA, Karin had a great love for the water. A place of great enjoyment for Karin and Gordon was Cannon Beach, Oregon. Karin had an exceptionally enthusiastic and contagious personality and was full of life. She loved to read books, watch Hallmark movies and have a drink on her lanai. She especially cherished her time with her great nephew Jase. Karin will be deeply missed by her husband, families and a wide spectrum of friends. Karin is survived by her husband of 33 years Gordon Erdman, Mother Janet O'Neil- Gibbons, Brother Kevin O'Neil (Patt), Sister Kay Mullen (Ed), Brother-in Law Russell Erdman (Zhangqin), Sister-in-Law Joyce Hood (Rick), Sister-in-Law Janice Bleakney (Bill) and some incredible nieces and nephews whom she treasured. A Memorial Service is scheduled for June 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Cascade Christian Reformed Church, 13908 51st Avenue NE, Marysville, WA 98271. Reception will follow service. All ages are welcome to attend and celebrate Karin's life. In lieu of formal flowers, the family is requesting perennials and annuals that will be planted in their yard. Donations may also be made in her honor to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, 733 Third Avenue, Suite 510, New York, NY 10017.
