It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karl Ertel, who was born on June 10, 1971, in Novi, Michigan, United States. He passed away on June 19, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
Karl was the beloved son of Kenneth and Louise Ertel and the devoted partner of Karen. Although they had no children of their own, Karl poured his love and generosity into helping others, including his work at General Motors, where he retired in 2006.
In addition to his career, Karl was dedicated to giving back to his community. He was actively involved in the Leader Dogs for the Blind organization, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of those he served.
Outside of his professional and volunteer work, Karl had a passion for hunting. He found solace and joy in spending time outdoors, appreciating the beauty of nature and the thrill of the chase.
Karl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, integrity, and unwavering dedication to helping others will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
