We are saddened to announce the passing of Katharina Abbott, who was born on November 25, 1942 and passed away on July 11, 2024 in Harker Heights, Texas, United States. She was and born to Theresa Jobst of Scheschoritsch raised in Germany with a catholic faith.

Katharina was the beloved wife of Russell Abbott and loving mother of William Klaus (spouse Shirley) and Carolyn Harris-Warner (spouse Richard). She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren, Grandson Christopher Harris (Jeannelly), Granddaughter Angela Abbott (Steven), Granddaughter Nicole Taylor, Grandson Brian Harris (Alex), Granddaughter Rebecca Abbott and ten great-grandchildren.

Katharina was a dedicated military wife and mother, always supporting her family and putting their needs before her own. She had a passion for bargain hunting, collecting figurines, and sewing. Her skills as a seamstress were unmatched, and she took great pride in creating beautiful pieces for her loved ones. She was fearless and always willing to face any and new challenges.

She is survived by sister Ilka McCurdy, brother Peter Scheiring, brother Gunter Scheiring.

She is preceded by loving husband Russel Abbott, son William Abbott, sister Traudi Prell, and mother Theresa Jobst.

Although Katharina will be dearly missed, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace. Her kindness, humor, and love will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
