Katharine "Kay" Cecelia TichenorKatharine "Kay" Cecelia Tichenor, daughter of Maurice Stafford "Tich" and Edna James Tichenor, passed away on March 7th 2017 in her home in Titusville, Florida. Kay was born on July 22, 1944 in Orlando, Florida and was a lifelong area resident. She attended Delaney Elementary and graduated from Boone High School. She was presented as a debutante in 1962 to the Rosalind Club of Orlando. She received her Bachelor's Degree in education from Florida State University where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Kay taught at Crawfordville Elementary and Lake Highland Prep and also worked at Florida National Bank and later owned her own horticulture company. She most recently was retired from Florida Today Newspaper. She is survived by her children with Henry Elton Woodward - adoring daughter, Stacie Paraskevas and her husband Tom; loving son, Spencer Woodward and his wife Debbie; grandsons, Jackson and Jason Woodward; granddaughter Jessica Clouser; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Cynthia Herrin and her husband Edwin. Kay and her bright smile and infectious laugh will be dearly missed by all who knew her. There will be a gathering of friends and family at a Celebration of Life in her honor on Saturday June 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Our Deck Down Under, 78 Dunlawton, Port Orange, FL 32127.
