Katherine Jane Kohno, 79, passed on October 21, 2021. She was born to Charles and Rose Shafer in Shaker Heights, Ohio on April 06, 1942. She is a 1960 graduate of Shaker Heights High School. She then went on to Ohio State University where she earned her masters degree in education. 

She married Seisuke in 1964 and they lived together in Tokyo, Japan. They traveled the world and lived in many different countries including Canada and Germany. Together they raised 3 children Gary (Kathy), David (Linda), BettyAnn (Mark). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Seisuke, Barbara and Gregory.

Katherine worked as an English teacher and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. She was very adventurous and will be missed greatly!
