Kathleen Dainles, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 2nd, 2023, in her home in Palm Beach, Florida. Born on December 3rd, 1940, in New York City, Kathleen was the daughter of John and Mary McGould. She grew up in a large family, one of six children, and learned the importance of family and friendship from an early age.
Kathleen was an exceptional woman, who had a heart full of compassion for others. She was an advocate for those in need and dedicated much of her time to charity work. Her love for volunteering was recognized and appreciated by all who knew her. She was a familiar face in many charitable organizations, including the local hospital, where she volunteered for over 40 years. Despite her busy schedule, Kathleen made time for her family, whom she cherished above all else.
Kathleen married the love of her life, Robert Dainles, in 1965 in New York. They moved to Palm Beach in 1980, where they built a beautiful home filled with love and laughter. Kathleen and Robert were a devoted pair, who spent 57 years together. They were inseparable and their love served as an inspiration to all. Together they had two children, Rob and Erin, and five grandchildren, whom she cherished with all her heart.
As a mother, Kathleen was both nurturing and supportive of her children. She instilled in them strong values of hard work, respect, and kindness. She was always ready with a hug or a word of encouragement when one of her children needed it. Her love knew no bounds, and she worked tirelessly to give her family a happy home filled with love.
Kathleen's love for life extended to her hobbies which included playing tennis, travelling, and gardening. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed spending time in her beautiful garden, surrounded by the creations of nature. As a tennis player, she was known for her graceful moves and unmatched sportsmanship. She played the game she loved with the same heart and dedication as she approached every other aspect of her life.
Kathleen's kindness, generosity, and love for life will be missed by all who knew her. Her unwavering love and devotion to her family will always serve as an inspiration. She was a remarkable woman who will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will take place at St. Paul of the cross, North Palm Beach, FL, on April 5th at 10 am.
