Kathleen Coplen MudgeMarch 11, 1958August 24, 2017Kathleen Coplen Mudge died on August 24, 2017 in Scottsdale, Arizona following a brief illness. Kathy was born on March 11, 1958 in Kennewick, Washington and is survived by her husband-John, son-Luke, and brother-John Coplen. She was preceded in death by her Dad and Mom, Hank and Jackie. Her daughter Megan also beat her in the race to heaven in December of 2015. Kathy was raised and attended schools in Washington State and graduated from University High School in Spokane followed by Washington State University where she received an education degree. Following graduation she lived in a number of cities in the west including Reno where she thrived for 16 years. Kathy was a gifted teacher and had an eye for color and design. She inspired her daughter, Megan, to create award winning art. She also taught many kids to explore art and follow their dreams. She taught herself art in various mediums and created artistic quilts, knitted afghans and beaded necklaces. She raised two fantastic kids, had numerous caring friends and supported John as he pursued a career in mining. Kathy's life will be celebrated at a time and place yet to be determined.
