Kathleen, Born May 6th,1937 to Claude Greerty and Marie Lounibous Greerty, graduated Alhambra high school in 1954. During her attendance at Alhambra High School, she met the love of her life, Richard “Butch” Delevati. Richard and Kathleen were married for 57 years. Together, they raised 7 children: Paul Thomas, John Michael, Kathleen Ann, Joseph Richard, Lorraine Marie, David Patrick, and Peter Steven Delevati. Kathleen was an excellent Mother and an amazing cook.

Kathleen, along with her husband Richard, owned and operated a restaurant “The Heritage Inn” from 1976-1980, located in Walnut Creek, California. Citizens of Walnut Creek would come for her famous Monday Night Spaghetti and Prime Rib. Kathleen and Richard were also devout Catholics, and members of St. Catherine of Siena Parish, where Kathleen volunteered for over 2 decades and enjoyed cooking for children and staff.

Kathleen and Richard later moved to northern California, and settled in Redding where they lived out their lives together until Richard’s death on May 28, 2011. Kathleen continued carrying the torch for another 12 years, during which time she suffered the loss of her eldest son Paul Thomas Delevati, her youngest son Peter Steven Delevati and her granddaughter Kristen Marie Delevati.

Kathleen demonstrated great resilience during trying times and always offered a positive outlook and supportive advice to those who needed it.

At the time of Kathleen’s passing, she had lived to see 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson brought into this world. Kathleen was always devoted to her family.

She brought joy and happiness to all those who knew her.

She will be forever in our hearts and minds.
