Kathryn C. WilsonNEVADA: Kathryn C. Wilson, age 89, of Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 1:43pm at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.Kathryn was born on August 9, 1927 in Crawford County, Ohio to Sherman and Ruth (Minich) Green. She married James A. Wilson on November 23, 1947 and he died on March 29, 1969.She is survived by four sons: Rev. J. Roger Wilson of Lansing, Michigan, Joseph C. (Sue) Wilson of Bucyrus, Ohio, Michael R. Wilson of Nevada, Ohio and Dennis L. (Terri) Wilson of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Kathryn is also survived by two sisters: Lorna Williams of Fargo, North Dakota and Margaret Dudgeon of Marion, Ohio. A brother, Ernest Green and a sister, Roselyn Chamberlain, preceded her in death.Kathryn was a graduate of Chatfield High School. She was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ since 1957, assisting with both Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. She was a gardener, canning and freezing what she had grown and she cooked and sewed, working hard to provide for her family as a young mother. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 8 at 10:00am at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Jay Scott officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, April 7 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.Memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel United Church of Christ or to Wyandot County Council on Aging and may be sent to Lucas-Batton 476 S.
