We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Kauree Dirks, who left this world far too soon on January 8, 2026. She was born on July 14, 2006, in Cresco, Iowa, to her loving parents Eric Dirks and Jessica Hack.

Kauree was a bright young soul who brought laughter and joy to everyone she met. She attended Independence Jr/Sr High School, graduating in 2024 with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye.

She had a passion for reading, coloring, and solving puzzles, often spending hours lost in her favorite activities. Kauree's sharp wit and playful nature could light up a room and brighten even the darkest of days.

Although she had no children of her own, Kauree had a special way with kids, always making them laugh and feel loved. Her kindness and generosity will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

As we say goodbye to Kauree, let us remember the joy and laughter she brought into our lives. She may be gone, but her spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
