Peterson, KayKay Peterson, 65, Mountain, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 with her family by her side. The daughter of the late Hugo and Verna (Rose) Knuth was born on October 11, 1951 in Manitowoc. She married Mark Peterson on June 28, 1980. Kay worked in Real Estate for 27 years and was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Denmark. Kay was a loving wife and mother and everyone will miss her so much. She was also a very special sister, and took in her siblings at the age of 17 to raise them as her own. She was so loving and giving to family and friends. Her hobbies included gardening, packer parties, playing cards, cooking with butter and lots of food for everyone. She was the matriarch of the family. Survivors include her husband, Mark; two children: Corey (Dena) Kane, Kerry (Lisa) Kane; step-daughter, Missy Lemmens; brothers: Dean (Lori) Knuth, David Knuth; sister, Connie (Bill) Engler; brothers-in-law, Gary Peterson (special friend Darlene), Todd (Jan) Peterson, father-in-law, Pierre Peterson; niece Megan Ristow; nephew, Christopher Knuth, grandchildren: Nikki Hermans (special friend Craig), Casey (Curt) Scray, Maddie, Colin, and Kyle Kane, Olivia, and Cameron Lemmens; great nephews, Will, Jack, and Charlie Ristow.In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne and Dale Knuth, first husband Dennis Kane; sister-in-law, Sheila Knuth; granddaughter, Mandy Hermans; nephew Tom Ristow; mother-in-law, Joyce Peterson; and sister-in-law, Vicki Peterson.Family and friends may visit at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 435 Wisconsin Ave, Denmark, on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 9:00am until 11:15am. The Funeral Service for Kay will be celebrated at 11:30am with the Rev. Andrew Zoerb officiating. Burial will take place in West Danish Cemetery.
