Kay Turner, 86, passed on May 27, 2022. He was born to Lawrence and Sylvia in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 09, 1935.
He married Linda in 1970 in the Salt Lake City temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, sealed together for time and all eternity. They lived together in Provo, Utah then soon moved to Grass Valley, California. Together they raised 3 children Mark (Asan), Sylvia, and Paul (Claudia). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and his brother Larry (Terri). Kay is preceded in death by his wife, his parents and his sister Barbara (John).
Kay graduated from Central High School, Sioux City, Iowa and received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
Kay worked at Grass Valley Group and Sierra Video Systems and was passionate about family, religion, education, music, finance, technology (especially radio and computers) and nutrition. He was kind to all with whom he came in contact. At an electronics convention in the late 70s, he felt sorry for two young men he met who had holes in their sneakers and offered to buy them lunch. They were Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.
Kay's family was able to be with him in his last days of his last orbit around the sun in Bangkok, Thailand where he lived for the last 11 years. The young grandkids sang karaoke and danced for him in his room at the Golden Years the night before he passed. A perfect sendoff for one who loved and is loved so much.
A few nights after his passing, Kay's youngest granddaughter prayed and asked Heavenly Father to, "Please bless Heaven so Grandpa will like it there."
