He was a junior at Logan High School and was proud to be a "Grizz" (Go Grizz). He played the bass clarinet in the school band and was an expert at Pokemon and Dragon Lore. He loved dinosaurs from the time he was a little boy and was our spider slayer at home. His smile radiated his love of life and his acceptance of all. He was finishing up his Eagle Scout paperwork and enjoyed his adventures with Scouting. He was a proud two-time member of the "Polar Bear Club" and loved anything associated with water. He loved playing practical jokes, especially scaring bishops with snakes. AJ truly loved people and life, and was kind to everyone. He was a great older brother, son and friend. He had a testimony of prayer and of the gospel and enjoyed serving. He died on his way to the Haunted Mansion, doing a job he truly was thrilled to have and which he loved every minute of. He is survived by his parents, Drew and Jane Hyer; his brothers, Benjamin, Edward and David; and two sisters, Marcilene (Mardi) and Elizabeth; his paternal grandparents, Keith and Kathryn Hyer; paternal great-grandparents, Merle and Benjamin Call and Edna Hyer; and his maternal grandmother, Shirley Wadford.
