FORT WAYNE — Keith M. Dice, 86, of rural Fort Wayne, passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at Ashton Creek in Fort Wayne. Mr. Dice was born on Nov.22, 1929, in Fort Wayne, a son of Howard and Jessie (Ott) Dice. He spent his formative years in Huntertown and graduated from Huntertown High School in 1948. On June 21, 1957, he was married to Joyce E. Whitacre. He was employed as an union bricklayer, and retired in 1992. Mr. Dice was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, was a farmer and enjoyed fishing. The family is comforted by knowing he is in with his Lord and Savior, and will be missed. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and living on his family's farm. His spouse preceded him in death on Aug. 28, 2009. The surviving relatives include two daughters, Karen (Lee) Sloffer of Churubusco and Kathy (Mark) Wehrle of Fort Wayne; a son, Kevin (Dawn) Dice of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Paul (Georgean) Dice of Huntertown and T. Eldon (Barbara) Dice of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Martha A. Doster of Fort Wayne and Darlene Smith of Churubusco; eight grandchildren and two great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and a daughter, Karla Dice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Hiatt officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
